Aktuelle(s) Projekt(e)

I am currently exploring constellations of constructions of femininity and Jewishness at key junctures in German and Austrian history in a number of case studies. In particular, I am interested in the ways in which these different images of alterity help articulate changing notions of, e.g., the nation and the body politic, of masculinity and of the modern individual. This work is supported by a 2013-14 Research Fellowship from the Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies, University of Michigan.
