Programming Historian

By humanists, for humanists. The Programming Historian is a peer-reviewed academic journal of digital humanities and digital history methodology. We publish free, novice-friendly tutorials that help humanists learn a wide range of digital tools and techniques to facilitate research and teaching. The journal publishes tutorials in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. The Programming Historian team is committed to open source values and adheres to a Diamond open access publishing model. All published content makes use of open source programming languages and software whenever possible. All submissions to Programming Historian are reviewed through an open peer review model and published under a Creative Commons CC-BY license. This means that the lessons are made freely available without subscription fee or restrictions on access. We do not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) or library subscriptions, and authors are permitted to republish their tutorials. The Programming Historian (ISSN 2397-2068) is indexed by the Directory of Open Access Journals.
