Small Towns Black Lives: African American communities in southern New Jersey

By

White, Wendel A.

The images and text of this web site are the on-line component of an art-documentary project Small Towns, Black Lives. The project is a personal record of my interest in historically African American communities in the southern counties of New Jersey. These pages contain photographs, text, historical documents, panoramic images and Quicktime video records loosely structured. [...] The current version of the web project evolved from a previous project called 'The Cemetery.' The Cemetery project went online during the early portion of 1995 and is now incorporated into Small Towns Black Lives as the community Port Republic.
