"The Eastern German Studies Association was an association of scholars interested in that part of Germany once known as the German Democratic Republic. Its work will be continued as an external affiliate of the Centre canadien d'études allemandes et européennes at the University of Montreal and its newest study group, the Eastern Germany Study Group/Groupe d'étude sur l'Allemagne orientale(http://www.cceae.umontreal.ca/egsg/liens.htm). This page will remain on the Internet for the forseeable future, but will not be regularly maintained. The ESGA newsletter was published twice a year. Its past newsletters will remain available on this site."
