At first this site was established in 1998. It was then dedicated to the history of Tennessee. [...] While the concept is still valid, it is obvious to us that the scope of the site should be expanded. Therefore, the site has evolved to encompass the history of the American South. This site is dedicated to promoting knowledge of the history of the South. It is a site wherein authors may publish" or post their work for others to read. In this capacity it serves as a publication, but not of the traditional pen and ink variety."
