"OpenEdition Books, the fourth OpenEdition platform after Revues.org, Calenda and Hypotheses, distributes reference books from publishers in the humanities and social sciences. Its aim is to build an international library in the digital humanities, while encouraging publishers to adopt Open Access in the long term. The platform promotes all cultural domains, through all historical periods in most scientific languages. The ambition of OpenEdition Books is summed up thus: “Understanding the world, in every language”. By summer 2013, 1,000 books will be available on OpenEdition Books. This catalogue will expand by 2,000 extra books each year."
