Center for the Study of the American South (CSAS)

Founded in 1992, CSAS seeks to sponsor a broad public dialogue that addresses the central challenges to public life in the South. The Center publishes the "Southern Research Report" (focusing on archival and research issues)"Southern Cultures" (exploring Southernism in general), and co-produces the twice-yearly "Southern Focus Poll", a national public opinion survey with a Southern oversample. The site offers links to the above, general information on the Center, and a link to the "Southern Studies Jumpgate", a valuable annotated list of sites related to Southern studies.
