History

Das Ministerium für Kultur der DDR gründete 1988 die Nationale Mahn- und Gedenkstätte Brandenburg als "Museum des antifaschistischen Widerstandskampfes". 1992 wurde die Nationale Mahn- und Gedenkstätte Brandenburg aufgelöst. Ihr folgte die Dokumentationsstelle Brandenburg, die 1993 Bestandteil der neu gegründeten Stiftung Brandenburgische Gedenkstätte wurde
