Current project(s)

My current PhD-research provides a cultural-historical analysis of the Dutch remembrance days 4th and 5th of May. The commemorations on these days are used to describe socio-cultural changes in Dutch society and changing perceptions of Dutch national and/or local identities. Furthermore, the tension between national and local memory culture will be studied in an international context, resulting in an analysis of the dynamics of these interactions.
