Planter Studies Centre

The Planter Studies Centre is a research institute which focuses scholarly attention on the 8,000 New England residents who migrated to Nova Scotia between 1759 and 1774. Known as "Planters" (the old English term for colonists), they settled in townships throughout the frontier colony of Nova Scotia. The site features information on the Centre and has some displays of architecture and artifacts as well as a database which can be accessed publicly by telnet.
