The Nixon-Presley Meeting: The Documentation

This site documents the famous meeting between Nixon and Presley. After writing a six-page letter in which he suggested being made a "'Federal Agent-at-Large'" in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs," Elvis Presley visited President Nixon on December 21, 1970. The site contains an image of the actual letter along with a transcription, and several presidential staff memoranda regarding the meeting. In addition, there is background on the meeting and photographs from it. (Copyright Internet Scout Project, 1994-1998. http://scout.cs.wisc.edu/)
