The Abraham Lincoln Association

The Abraham Lincoln Association was organized in 1908 as the Lincoln Centennial Association. It led the national celebration of Lincoln's one-hundredth birthday and continued to mark that day until 1925, when Paul M. Angle was hired as the Association's first executive secretary. It was he who began the Association's distinguished program of research and publication, which ultimately led to many landmark contribution in Lincoln scholarships. The Abraham Lincoln Association continues to uphold its tradition in the Journal of the Abraham Lincoln Association, the only journal devoted exclusively to the rich history and complex legacies of Abraham Lincoln and in hosting its annual banquet and symposium through which scores of famous speakers and scholars have presented new and exciting work concerning our sixteenth president. The website features information about the Association's publications and symposia and provides a Lincoln bibliography.
