Nixon Presidential Materials Staff

The Nixon Presidential Materials Staff is part of the National Archives and Records Administration's (NARA) Office of Presidential Libraries. The Nixon Staff is the custodian of the historical materials created and received by the White House during the administration of Richard Nixon, 1969-1974. [...] Although President Nixon was in office for only five years, his papers comprise the third largest collection of any Presidential Library. The holdings include the textual records (approximately 46 million pages, of which about 7 million are available for public research), the audiovisual records (350,000 photographs, 4,000 videotapes, over 4,469 official White House sound recordings, 950 surreptitiously recorded White House tapes, and 2.2 million feet of motion picture film), and approximately 30,000 gift items. [self-description] The site provides an archival inventory of the mentioned materials.
