Ohio Memory: Online Scrapbook of Ohio History

Launched by the Ohio Historical Society, the Ohio Memory Project provides access to historical treasures of Ohio from prehistory to 1903." This online scrapbook was created in part to commemorate the state's bicentennial of 2003, celebrate state and local history, and allow others to explore Ohio's rich and diverse past. This easily navigable collection consists of manuscripts; letters; diaries; historical photographs; state and local government records; clothing; furniture; tools; artwork; prehistoric artifacts; and plant, animal, and geological specimens. Viewers browse the scrapbook by subject category, or search by subject, title, place, author, or creator. Due to the broad content of the scrapbook, this site may be of interest to researchers in many different areas." (Copyright Internet Scout Project, 1994-2003. http://scout.cs.wisc.edu)
